Top Nigeria Football Star dies after battling with Kidney Problem

Nigerian football lovers experienced a shocking demise of one of its top NFL league goal keeper who died on Monday night, January 27 after struggling with kidney problem. Football lovers were sent into mourning and a sorrowful mood on Tuesday morning when it received the news about the death of goalkeeper Ismaila Shagari.

Ismaila Shagariwho died on Monday night at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombeafter a long protracted kidney problem was a player who plies his trade in Nigerian National League Side, GombeUnited. 

He was among the top player in the league who was registered this season in their quest to get promotion from the Nation’s National League side. He spent 12 years as a goal keeper in the National League.

The kidney problem started prior to the kick off of the season and this prevented the goal keeper from joining his teammate in training sessions. He was however taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital Gombewhere he was diagnosed for a critical kidney problem. Shagariwas placed on a medical emergency and intensive care unit of the hospital.

GombeUnited FC Posted the news on its twitter handle “@united_gome”; announcing the death of their darling goal keeper. Former teammates at GombeUnited, KazeemYekini, further confided that the death of the goal keeper came as a shock to the entire team of GombeUnited FC and the fans.
