The Olu of Oba, Oba Abdul Ganiyu Adegun Sanyaolu , the Olu of Oba,  the homestead of former Ogun State Governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba, has distributed some foodstuffs to the aged in  his domain to cushion the effect of the stay-at-home order of the government.

Oba Sanyaolu while speaking to journalists during the distribution disclosed that the gesture will take care of about 2000 households which spread about 45 towns and villages under his domain.

The stimulus, which comes in food packs, to be distributed to all the aged in the affected areas is aimed at cushioning the effects of the extended fourteen-day stay-at-home directive of the State Government.

Oba Sanyaolu averred that the stimulus package is quite unique and different from many that are being given to the people,  as it is purely funded from his personal pocket.

He called on well meaning individuals and companies to join hands with him in alleviating the suffering of the people.

"What we are passing through as human is seriously unprecedented,  we have not witnessed it before,  but I urged my people to maintain social distancing and good personal hygiene to reduce the spread of Coronavirus".

“Again, it is important for us to let our people know that social distancing is something we are advocating; people should just relax, we have contacted some of our friends to come to our aids we believe with them having hands in it, the package will get to them because we understand what the economic situation is.

He, therefore, advised all residents of the State to take individual responsibility during this restrictive period by acting positively so that the chain of COVID-19 transmission can be broken in the State.
