Ikenne LG Sets Up Committee For the Distribution of Relief Materials, Eulogises Abiodun

The Chairman, Ikenne Local Government Hon. Rotimi Akinsanya has expressed the appreciation of the people of Ikenne Local Government to Ogun State Governor,  Prince Dapo Abiodun, as the chairman set up the committee on the distribution of relief materials donated by the state government to cushion the effect of the lock down to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the state. 

He explained that the kind gesture of the Ogun State Government was the demonstration of his love for the people of the state.

The chairman, while charging committee members  drawn from religious organisation, Community Development Association, Baales, Iya loja, Youth Organisation and representatives of Local Government urged them to be forthright and eschew selfishness, favouritism and partisanship. 

Hon Akinsanya explained that identification card would be issued as pass for all that would be at work during the period to avoid embarrassment. He added that tickets would be issued to all households in the communities for the collection of the relief materials.

The chairman said that the list of households in the ten (10) wards that were carefully prepared would be made available. He appealed to household members with emphasis on the youths to be peaceful and orderly to make the work of the committee easily achievable.

Hon. Akinsanya expressed his appreciation to the indigenes of the Local Government who had donated in cash and kind to the State Government on Covid-19. He called on others to write their names in gold by donating as the government needed them now.

Pastor Olajide Olalude, President Christian Association of Nigeria Ikenne Local Government Chapter and Hon. Segun Taiwo Chairman Community Development Council assured the Chairman of the Local Government that justice would be done in the distribution of the relief materials. They added that the confidence reposed in them would not be toyed with.
