The Ijebu- Igbo Council of Elders (ICE), Board of Trustee  have asked Eng  Bayo Dayo to relinquish its chairmanship position following his involvement in partisan politics.

In a letter  addressed to Engr. Bayo Dayo, and signed by the Board of Trustee Chairman and Secretary of the Club, Prof. Layi Ogunkoya  and     Otunba Yinka Bolajo respectfully,  said the involvement of former PDP chairman in partisan politics necessitated the action.

ICE, a foremost non partisan social club in Ijebu-Igbo in the letter, appreciated the activities of Engr Bayo Dayo during his tenure as the Chairman of ICE, but regretted his involvement in partisan politics which according to them, is "capable of bruising our collective sensibilities as a foremost group and the voice of the Ijebu Igbo Kingdom".

"Your active involvement in partisan politics and the ongoing political imbroglio in which you are deeply enmeshed, and having weighed the possibility of such as capable of bruising our collective sensibilities as a foremost group and the voice of the Ijebu Igbo Kingdom; the Board of Trustees (B O T) of this Council, arising from an emergency ZOOM meeting, resolved that you should in the meantime, step down forthwith us as the Council’s Chairman".

" Please note that by this action, the B O T is not being judgmental, rather the B O T, a strictly non-political organization feels that it will not be healthy for the ICE or ICE B O T if its Chairman and members are embroiled in controversial and unhealthy partisan political issues that could divide the membership of the Council and the Orimolusi Kingdom along political lines".

"We therefore wish and direct that, as a matter of honor and decency, you vacate your office.
We wish you success in future endeavors".
