A chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party PDP, in Ogun state, Comrade Waliu Oladipupo has denied allegations of defecting to the Action Alliance, AA, alongside some loyalists of former House of Representatives member, Hon Oladipupo Adebutu.

Oladipupo, former publicity Secretary of PDP in Ogun state and a strong ally of Hon Adebutu was said to have perfected arrangements to move to AA following the continuous crisis that is ravaging PDP.

It was alleged that he had been elected as the AA publicity Secretary in Ogun State.

But reacting to the allegation, Com Oladipupo said it is ridiculous for his name to have been mentioned as the publicity secretary of a Party which he was never a member.

He said, "The mischief makers are purely behind this dastardly act. I am a strong member of PDP and a prominent stalwart who has held several vintage positions in  the party.

"I have equally served in many committees  at the national level. This week I was in Edo State for the conduction of wards adhoc delegates congresses and by the grace of God I am going to be in Ondo State for another national assignment.

"From all across the states in Nigeria calls have been made to confirm the authenticity of the information".

"About four hours ago, I was called by a correspondent of DailyTimes who said he wanted me to make clarification on whether Adebutu group of PDP was planning a defection to other political party and specifically mentioned Action Alliance (AA).

" I told him in clear tone that I am a member of PDP and that there was never a plan action for any defection.

"And I asked the source of the information which he did not supply as requested.
It actually came as a way of surprise when it was all over the news.

'This is highly mischievous and I condemn it in entirety and I am going to file legal suits against the publications".

" How would I leave a party with such promises for another party. PDP remains the party to beat in any elections in Nigeria".

Comrade Waliu Oladipupo then "thanked all those that have called to confirm the authenticity of information and I urge the members of public to disregard this as it untrue'
