In a press statement signed by Babajide Jokotagba, the Information officer of the Agency, said the public works agency team  were fully prepared and were  already at the Oke Mosan axis of the city in ensuring that the damage done did not escalate, while palliative measure would be put in place to ensure smooth driving for the motoring public

Akintola said," though, no one prays for bad situation, but the reality is that eventualities do occur, and when they do,  we should face them headlong, that is our mandate , to ensure good road network across the state, and this we are doing and we shall be quick about this because of the importance of this road as the first entry point to the capital and we shall move to all other troubled spots in the city and ensure that the debris are carted away and the drains are cleared while repairs will commence immediately".

The General Manager further used the medium to appeal to the general public to desist from acts that could pose as threats to road infrastructure especially dumping of refuse into drainages and canals which usually block the channels, thus causing damages on the road, just as be revealed that the Agency is in collaboration with other Agencies of government to sensitize, arrest and prosecute where necessary recalcitrant offenders of road management.

He however assured the motoring public that OGPWA will not renege on its mandate in making Ogun roads saver, better and pliable for the entire people of Ogun State
