The Ogun State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC on Friday distance itself from the purported endorsement of Olaposi Oginni as the Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, chairman, saying that the Party had at no point in time be part of the group.

In a statement made available to newsmen, by the Party Chairman in Ogun State, Chief Yemi Sanusi, denied  ever endorsing nor nominated one Mr Clement Adeniyi to endorse Oginni on behalf of APC in Ogun State.

It could be recalled that some online medium reported that APC and Ogun State Chapter of PDP in Ogun state have expressed readiness to support the Olaposi Oginni led executive of the Inter Party Advisory Council in the state.

It was also reported that the two strong parties  stressed that Oginni is the  authentic IPAC chairman recognised and accepted by them.

The endorsement which was said to be made by the youth leader of APC, Clement Adeniyi explained that he was directed by the chairman of APC, Yemi Sanusi to represent the interest of the party at the IPAC.

But reacting to the purported endorsement in a Press release, signed by the Ogun State Chairman of APC, Chief Yemi Sanusi and made available to journalists, said the APC has nothing to do with either faction of the group, adding that APC has at no time supported the Oginni led faction of IPAC, describing the publication as imagination of the writer.

The statement reads "my attention has been drawn to a publication in an online news medium saying that I have endorsed the leadership of Olaposi Oginni as IPAC Chairman.  I am dismayed that such cocktail of lies could be concocted around my person and our party, APC.

"I therefore state with every sense of responsibility that neither me nor the entire State Executive Committee of Ogun APC nominated one Mr. Clement Adeniyi to represent the interest of Ogun APC at IPAC activities. We have at no time issued any instrument of authority to Mr. Clement Adeniyi or anybody whatsoever to represent APC at either of the two factions of Ogun IPAC.'

Furthermore, APC Ogun State is not in anyway connected to the activities and deliberations of either of the two factions of IPAC for now.

" I hereby disassociate my humble self and the entire State Executive Committee of the All Progressive Congress of Ogun State from the said publications."
