Call your boys to order, Ogun Community tells acting IGP

By Our Correspondent

The Oso Abe Olaba Community of Mowe in Obafemi Owode Local government area of Ogun state has called on the acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, to call to order the activities of some armed mobile police force who daily terrorise the residents of the community.

This is part of the resolution at the end of a crucial meeting of over Ten Estates that make up the community.

This came on the heel of the invasion of the community by some land grabbers using the armed mobile police to harass the residents of the community with the criminal intention to forcefully take over some of their undeveloped land.

The community noted that the regular wrong use of the mobile police personnel has affected the peace of the community, thereby calling on the acting IGP to call his boys to order.

'Criminal activities of these land grabbers are on the increase daily, we need your urgent intervention in calling your boys, especially the Mobile Police Force unit who are willing tools in the hands of these land speculators.

The community had earlier petitioned the security adviser to the Ogun state governor informing him that the name of his excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun's was mentioned as the owner of their land.

The communique was signed by all the 10 chairmen of the estates in the community.
