Residents of Mowe Oso Abe Oloba community in Mowe, Obafemi Owode Local government area of Ogun state,  have called the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to speak out against the activities of some land speculators that are daily tormenting the residents of the community.

In a joint communiqué signed by all the Chairmen of associations within the community after a Stakeholder's forum organised to deliberate on the security of lives and property in the area, the residents stressed that the governor's intervention would go along way in knowing the true picture of the crisis that is befallen the area as a result of the activities of suspected land grabbers..

It could be recalled that some armed mobile police personnel and suspected thugs had unleashed mayhem on the people of the community claiming to be acting on the authority of the governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

At a well attended forum which consist of 10 Estates,  the community resolved that Governor in order to restore peace and sanity should tell them his position whether they came on his order or not.

The community had earlier sent a petition to the special adviser on security to Ogun state governor and the inspector general of the police on the possible wrong use of the police personnel.

As at the time of filing this report, the government has yet to respond to the allegations.
