Pastor Adeboye’s Son Dies At 42

By Our Correspondent

A son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Dare is dead.

The 42-year-old who pastored one of the branches in Abuja officiated on Sunday in church.

He was, however, said to have passed away in his sleep.

It was learnt that it was his wife Temiloluwa who raised the alarm after noticing that Dare had slept beyond the normal.

Senior Pastors of the church confirmed that he died in his sleep on Wednesday, shortly after ministration.

“It is with a deep and heartfelt sense of loss, we announce the departure of our beloved son, brother, husband and father, Oluwadamilare Temitayo Adeboye, who went to be with the Lord on the 4th of May, 2021,” an RCCG statement said, confirming the death.

“His life was well lived as he served the Lord without reserve, giving effortlessly and leading fearlessly.”

The statement added that he was survived by his wife and three children.

“Though shaken, our anchor remains Jesus Christ in whom we have the assurance that we will one day meet in a place where there is no pain,” the statement said.

“It is the wish of the family to be granted privacy at this moment and that prayers be offered on their behalf.”

‘Righteous Man Is Taken Away’
As news of Pastor Dare’s death made the rounds, his brother Leke Adeboye took to his verified Instagram handle to post pictures of the deceased.

“The righteous man perishes [at the hand of evil], and no one takes it to heart,” Leke wrote.

“Faithful and devout men are taken away, while no one understands that the righteous person is taken away [to be spared] from disaster and evil.”

His posts garnered thousands of comments with many dropping condolence messages.

The sad news sparked huge reactions on Twitter with over 15.6k tweets on Nigerian Twitter trends on Thursday afternoon.

Members of the RCCG and Christians from other denominations have condoled with the Adeboye family praying for the fortitude to bear the loss.
