By Our Correspondent

An electrical surge had destroyed multi million naira equipment at a Television station based in Ogun State.

SalientTimes gathered that the station located in the premises of Hi-Impact Planet Amusements Park & Resort at Kilometre 12 Lagos-Ibadan Express way, Ibafo in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun, reportedly occurred on Thursday August 12.

Hi-Impact TV is Nigeria’s first full HD Television Studio in the state.

Confirming the incident to our Correspondent in a statement, the Ogun State Fire Services said the fire was traced to a power surge which was quickly curtailed and extinguished by the firefighters.

The Statement added that no life was lost, but valuables in the studio were burnt to ashes.

Ogun  State Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Barrister Femi Ogunbanwo and the Director of the State Fire Services, Fatai Adefala had visited the scene on behalf of the State Government to sympathise with the management and staff over the incident
