The family of Oluseye of Ilupeju Oko Odo Gbagura, Abeokuta Ogun State has dragged Governor Dapo Abiodun, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, the Agura of Gbaguraland, Oba Saburee Babajide Bakre and five others before the State High Court requesting it to nullify the appointment of Saheed Balogun as the Olu of Ilupeju Oke Odo.

The claimants, Prince Monsuru Akanbi Oluseye, Prince Sulaimon Allan Oluseye and Prince Gbolahan Babatunde Oluseye in a writ of summons, dated October, 8 also asked the court to set aside the chieftaincy declaration of Olu of Ilupeju Oke Odo, Gbagura.

Joined in the case is the Attorney General of Ogun State, the State Executive Council, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Egba Traditional Council and Saheed Balogun Agbaje.

The claimants also prayed the court to set aside the nomination, appointment and approval of Agbaje as the Olu of Ilupeju Oke Odo.

They alleged that, the selection, nomination and appointment of Agbaje were contrary to the customs and traditions of Ilupeju Oke Odo, Gbagura.

The claimants insisted that upon the demise of the immediate past Olu of Ilupeju Oke Odo, Late Oba Mufutau Akindele, it is the turn of their family to produce the next king.
