Olatunji Ola- Davies Sworn in as the 20th President of Rotary Club of Abeokuta Metro.

The Rotary Club of Abeokuta Metro as part of it's Twenty years Anniversary Celebration Elected and Sworn in Rotarian Olatunji Ola-Davies a Media Enabler and Human Capital Development Consultant as the 20th President of Rotary Club of Abeokuta Metro, the largest membership club in Ogun State, District 9110 held at Conference Hotel, Oke Mosan area of Abeokuta, Ogun State.


The event which was full of pomp and pageantry, glamour and glitz also witnessed the Induction of Board members and New inductees and the launching of the Club Change Maker Projects and Programmes.


Speaking during the Investiture Ceremony, the Co- Chairman of the event, Otunba Seni Adetu who was a former Managing Director of Guinness PLC and Coca Cola and Currently the Chairman/CEO of Algorithm Media admonished the new President to live behind him a legendary legacies of implemented projects and Programmes that will directly affect the lives of people living within Club's Communities.


Olatunji Ola-Davies who is a Principal Partner with Naija Channels and BLEST (Business, Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Training) Skilltz Consulting and one of the Consultant for German International Development Organisation on SEA- Hub project with quantum of experience and exposure is a Certified Trainer and Pro Media Enabler exploits Creative thinking for Social transformation and Human Capital Development , Content Development, Digital Skills Management, Knowledge Networking and Innovative Idea Generation.


In his acceptance speech during the ceremony, the 20th President of Rotary Club of Abeokuta Metro, Rotarian Olatunji Ola-Davies stated that " he accepted the position with every sense of humility and prestige as his focus will be Connecting the Past and Consolidating the present with Sustainable Change Making Project and Programmes that will add values to the People and Communities within the Club Jurisdiction based on the Rotary International 7 Areas of Focus which includes Basic Education and Literacy, Economic and Community Development, Sustaining the Environment, Ppeace Building and Conflict Prevention, Youth Development, Health and Disease Control related Projects which required a total sum of Twenty Million Naira to execute.


According to him Rotary Club of Abeokuta Metropolitan deemed it fit to Recognize and Celebrate Twenty  (20) Outstanding Business Brands established close to and over twenty years ago that have contributed to the growth and development of the Abeokuta and Ogun State Business and economic activities and environment through their Strategic and Sustainable Business Enterprise driven solutions and plans.


In his Welcome and Opening Remarks, the 2020- 2021 Outgoing President represented by one of the Past President Rotarian Ambali Ishola, a retired Permanent Secretary in the Ogun State Civil service implored Distinguished and invited Guests to be partner in progress by donating generously to the Change Maker President project aimed at putting smiles in the faces of the less privileged.


He stated further that over the years, Rotary Club of Abeokuta Metro has grown in leaps and bounds in Membership and Project execution to an enviable heights as it has become a force to reckon with in the comity of Rotary Clubs within District 9110 and Rotary International.


Also Speaking, the District 9110 Governor Remi Bello FCA ably represented by the Zonal Coordinator , Past Assistant Governor (Dr) Hassan Adelakun commended the Club for blaizing the Trails in it's Programme activities as he encouraged individuals and Stakeholders to Collaborate with Clubs and Organisations like Rotary in making the world a better place as part of their Corporate Social Responsibilities and Service to Humanity.


Other dignitaries present at the event includes Otunba Lekan Jubril Lukan, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Rural Development, Asst. Governor, Rot (Dr) Festus Adetonwa, Rotarian Hon (Mrs) Adijat Oladipo- Adeleye, Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Women Affairs, Mrs Funmi Wakama, General Manager NTA, Chief Olumide Aderinokun Realtor and Founder O & A Foundation, Retired Permanent Secretaries, Unilag Alumni representatives, Angus Memorial High School Old Students Association, Change Maker Presidents from other Clubs and Guest from the Public and Private Sectors.
