A.O Odubela, the institution’s public relations officer, broke the news in a statement on Friday.

Some students of the institution were allegedly assaulted by operatives of the army and arrested thereafter.

The school’s student union government (SUG) president was said to have been among those arrested by soldiers from Ilese Barracks.

The development had triggered outrage, with many students of the institution condemning the alleged action of the soldiers.

Some of the students also took to the streets to protest the incident while blocking the Sagamu-Benin Ore expressway in the process.

In the statement, the institution said the incident is currently under investigation.
